Here are a few features that set Humber Heights apart:

bulletHumber Heights is owned by a partnership of The Homewood Corporation of Guelph and the Ron Schlegel family of Kitchener.
bulletOur unique Main Street design allows residents to 'go for an outing' away from their care unit without having to go outside. Activities along Main Street include: visiting with friends and family in the cafe attending a church service, booking a room for a family party, reading a book in the library, having a haircut at the barbershop/beauty salon, going for a workout or fitness class at the health club. The Main Street is the social hub of our community.
bulletHumber Heights has several therapeutic courtyards, outdoor patios, gardens and walkways around the property for residents' enjoyment of the outdoors.
bulletThe unique design of the LTC facility allows residents to go outside from each of the 6 home areas.
bulletThe Facility offers a unique Alzheimers / Dementia care continuum. The three steps in the continuum are the Supportive Care Floor in the Retirement Home for early stages, the Active Dementia Home Area in the LTC facility for middle stages and the Advanced Dementia Care Home Area for later stages. Specialized programs are offered including a Dementia Care Nurse with specialized expertise.
